Yitzchak Isaac Taub was a prominent Hungarian rabbi and composer who lived from 1751 to 1821. He served as the rabbi of Nagykálló, Hungary, and holds the distinction of being the first Hassidic Rebbe in the country. Taub's musical talents earned him the affectionate title "the Sweet Singer of Israel", reflecting his notable contributions to the world of Hasidic music.
