Matt Stone

Matt Stone is an American animator, filmmaker, songwriter, and actor born in 1971. He has made a significant impact in the film industry through his creative endeavors. Stone's interest in entertainment began at a young age, leading him to pursue higher education in film and mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. It was during his time at the university that he met his future creative partner, Trey Parker.

Stone's collaboration with Parker has resulted in some notable works, including the animated television series South Park and the stage musical The Book of Mormon, which premiered in 2011. The duo's partnership began to take shape during their university days, where they worked together on short films and starred in the feature-length musical Cannibal! The Musical, released in 1993.
