Diana Reiter
polska architekt
Diana Reiter was a Polish architect of Jewish descent, born in 1902. She pursued higher education at Lviv Polytechnic, where she graduated and went on to become one of the pioneering female architects in Kraków. Her academic background and professional endeavors positioned her as a trailblazer in a field that was predominantly male-dominated at the time.
Reiter's life and career were tragically cut short during World War II. In 1943, she fell victim to the atrocities of the Holocaust, meeting her demise at the Kraków-Płaszów concentration camp. Despite her promising career in architecture and technology, her untimely death at a young age prevented her from fully realizing her potential and leaving a more lasting legacy in the field.
